Jude Bellingham’s shoulder problems persist a year after his injury, and surgery is not ruled out soon.
Real Madrid is facing the end of the current season, and the club has been working for months on the next stage.
One situation that is worrying is that of Jude Bellingham, who continues to have discomfort in his left shoulder.
Jude Bellingham was injured on November 5, 2023, in the 0-0 match against Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabéu. Since then, the British midfielder has been forced to play with a striking orthosis, which was visible to the entire crowd during this Wednesday’s 1-0 match against Getafe.
The orthosis is a remedy players opt for when they suffer a shoulder injury and is designed to cushion and protect the joint. Bellingham is at serious risk of dislocating the shoulder, and his body has already warned on several occasions how exhausted he is.
After suffering the injury a year and a half ago, Madrid decided to continue with conservative treatment for the area, with specific training sessions to strengthen the muscles and the use of bandages to address further problems.
Jude Bellingham’s shoulder brace was a temporary solution that Madrid opted for after the number 5 became an essential player, being the top scorer at the start of last season. A quick solution was needed, and that was done.
Operation in brief
Madrid delayed Bellingham’s operation last season because the campaign was excessively long, reaching the Champions League final (June 1) shortly before the start of the European Championship.
However, according to ‘Relevo‘, the club has not ruled out Jude undergoing surgery, which ultimately didn’t happen last summer after the Euros.
